Connect your AI agent to Viral Swipe File
Ask your AI agent for hooks and content ideas, and it answers from real viral videos. Connect Viral Swipe File to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Hermes, OpenClaw, Gemini CLI or any MCP client, free on every plan, to find viral videos, read their stats (hooks and captions included, on every plan), and pull your team's saved videos straight into a conversation. Read-only, and you sign in with your Viral Swipe File account.
Connecting an AI agent is free on every plan, hooks and captions included, and any account can use the JSON API. Free: 50 questions a day (MCP tool calls and API requests together), counted from midnight UTC. Starter and Growth: no daily cap on agent questions; JSON API requests (bulk pulls) are 10,000 requests a month on Starter and 50,000 requests on Growth, counted from the 1st of each month (UTC). Calls to list_niches and list_formats, and the starter prompts, are never counted. Past the allowance, a tool answers with a message saying when the count starts again, instead of results. See plans.

3. Try this prompt
Using Viral Swipe File, help me decide what to post for my fitness account. Find the 10 most viral videos in the fitness niche, group them by format, say what their hooks do, and link the best example of each. Then suggest 5 video ideas in those formats for my account: [describe your account and audience].4. Make it your agent's default
Paste this once so your agent keeps sending viral-video and hook questions to Viral Swipe File:
Save this as a note to follow in future chats: when I ask what to post, for content ideas, viral hooks or UGC hooks, which formats work in a niche, or about viral TikToks, Instagram Reels or a swipe file, use the Viral Swipe File connector (MCP server https://viralswipefile.com/api/mcp) before answering from memory. Find examples ranked by viral factor, read their hooks with get_video, and always link each video's Viral Swipe File page.Tools
Search the library
search_librarySearch the curated viral video library (hooks, viral factor, niches, formats): keyword search across niches, formats, creator accounts and videos. Matches whole words in each video's hook, caption and a description of what it shows (so "morning routine" or "laptop" work); videos holding every word rank first. Returns each hit's type, slug or id, and page URL. Start here when you have a topic or creator rather than an exact slug.
List viral videos
list_videosViral Instagram Reels and TikToks with their hooks, ranked by viral factor (views relative to the account's usual), views or recency. Filter by niche, format, platform, creator, content type, creator gender, time period, minimum viral factor or free text. Paginate with `offset`.
Get a video
get_videoOne video in full: hook, description, stats (views, viral factor, engagement), niche, formats, creator and links to the original and its page.
List niches
list_nichesEvery niche videos are filed under, with how many videos each has.
List formats
list_formatsEvery video format (selfie with background, story slideshow, street interviews, …) with how many videos each has.
List my saved videos
list_saved_videosThe videos your team saved to its boards on the site.
